The HILD Summer School in Heritage, Identity and Local Development is jointly promoted by the University of Padova, Italy; the National University of Central Buenos Aires in Olavarria (UNICEN), Argentina and the University of Lodz, Poland. Classes will take place in Olavarria, and the School Secretariat is mainly based at the UNICEN University in Olavarria, Argentina.
Summer School Venue
Classes will be held in Olavarria, at the Municipal José Hogar Cultural Centre - Riobamba 2949, Olavarria, Argentina.
The building offers a perfect working space for both students and lecturers.
A free wifi connection will be available for the whole duration of the course.
Students are welcome to make the Cultural Centre their working base.

How to reach Olavarria
Olavarria lies in the middle of the Buenos Aires Province, it is surrounded by Pampas fields and, thanks to an efficent network of Public buses, it is quite well connected to Buenos Aires. It takes about six hours to travel from the Capital to Olavarria, bus schedules and options from the Buenos Aires Retiro (main bus station) to the city are available at the LINK . Bus services and connections are usually well organized. Among the available transport companies are El Condor, La Estrella, El Rapido Argentino. When flying to Buenos Aires Airport (Ezeiza), travellers may choose to take a fixed price taxi (there are quite a fex taxi companies offering a fixed price service, among others: Manuel Tienda Leon) to the Buenos Aires Retiro and then catch a bus to Olavarria.

Summer School schedule
Classes are scheduled in the morning, while tutored projects and individual study will be organized in the afternoon.
The inauguration of the course is foreseen on Monday, March 17th 2014, at 10.00 a.m.
Classes will run Monday through Friday. Theoretical lectures will be given from 9.00 to 11.00 a.m. Invited teachers and researchers, as well as students will be hosted every day, from 11.30 a.m. till 1.30 p.m.
Students will then have the afternoon available for conducting their research individually or in groups. They will be supervised by a tutor.
Please note that Monday, March 24th is Nacional Holiday in Argentina and students will have a free day.
Study tours in Olavarria, Tandil and Buenos Aires are also part of the participants' study plan.
