Research

The DiSSGeA Department promotes high-quality research on human civilizations across a broad spatial and temporal spectrum — from ancient Greek and Latin cultures to contemporary global dynamics. As a multidisciplinary center of excellence, it integrates historical, geographical, anthropological, literary, economic, and political-social approaches. Particular attention is devoted to the study of mobility, understood as the complex circulation of people, ideas, texts, and objects. Its research activity is supported by a variety of methodologies and carried out through national and European projects within various fields.
