Let's change the scripts to avoid repeating the same story - 2025 edition

Dal 24.01.2025 al 16.05.2025

The second edition of Let's change the scripts to avoid repeating the same story, the programme devised by DiSSGeA to work on gender-based violence and discrimination within our community in a collective and participatory manner, with the aim of building positive relationships and increasingly inclusive spaces, begins on Friday, 24th January.

The 2025 edition consists of eight events: two Forum Theatre performances, titled Il limite ignoto (24th January and 16th May), and six workshops that provide a fun and practical approach to exploring gender-based violence, discrimination, power dynamics, isolation, strength and fragility.

The Forum Theatre is a combination of games, exercises, and techniques based on interactivity and participation, aimed at addressing the problems in our lives in a playful and positive manner. It serves as an educational methodology and a tool for social transformation, widely used across various fields (including education, culture, art, politics, psychotherapy, inclusion, mediation), that enables casting a spotlight on and discussing conflicts in society and in our everyday spaces. An important new feature of this edition is that the workshops will be offered in both Italian and English to encourage participation by the international student community (such as students from the Mobility Studies and Local Development Master's degree programmes) and to promote communication and reflection on these issues in a common language, while training participants for future study, research, or work experiences abroad.

The initiative, funded through the Teaching Improvement Grant, is organised in collaboration with the Parteciparte association.

All the events will be held in the Sala Bortolami of Palazzo Jonoch Gulinelli (via del Vescovado 30, Padova) except for the last one, on Friday, 16th May at 5pm, which will be held in the Salone degli Specchi of Palazzo Wollemborg (via del Santo 28, Padova). Participation is free (subject to seat availability), and prioritised for students, PhD students, postdocs, teaching and administrative staff affiliated with DiSSGeA.
