Within the framework of the overall academic calendar drawn up at university level to decide the date teaching will begin and certain specific deadlines applicable to all study courses, the department approves a calendar of teaching activities every year which distinguish lesson periods from exam sessions.

2024/25

Academic year 2024-2025 starts on 1 October 2024
Lessons start on 30 September 2024

The University is closed on the Italian Public holidays and on the following dates:

• Christmas holidays: 21 December, 2024 to 6 January, 2025
• Easter holidays: 18 April to 22 April 2025
• Liberation Day: 25 April, 2025
• Labour Day: 1 May, 2025
• Festa Giustinianea: 2 May, 2025
• Italian Republic Day: 2 June, 2025
• Patron Saints' days (according to the city where lessons are held; e.g. Padua 13 June, Treviso 27 April, Rovigo 26 November, Vicenza 8 September)
• Summer holidays (4 August to 16 August 2025)

Classes are suspended during Christmas holidays (23 December 2023 to 7 January 2024), Easter holidays (29 march to 2 April 2024) and Summer holidays (5 August to 17 August 2024).
